Metals Higher, Palladium Leading

The metals market is higher today, with palladium leading the way higher. Equities are higher, but are well off the highs of the session. Copper is up 2.5 cents to trade at $3.5610, a gain of just over 0.7%. Ipath Dow Jones Ubs Copper Total ETF JJC is down 22 cents to $46.16, a loss of 0.47%. Silver is up 21 cents to $35.04, as it has moved past the $35 an ounce mark. Shares of Ishares Silver Trust ETF SLV are up 6 cents to trade at $34.14, a gain of 0.18%. Gold is up $3.50 an ounce to $1,794.60, a gain of 0.2%. Shares of Spdr Gold Trust ETF GLD are down 51 cents to $174.47. Platinum is up $12.10 an ounce, trading at $1,670.10, a gain of nearly 0.75%. The platinum ETF ETFS Physical Platinum Shares PPLT is up 83 cents this morning to trade at $169.40, a gain of 0.51%. Palladium is soaring today, up $16.05 an ounce today, trading at $677.95, as it looks like it will break $700 an ounce. Shares of ETFS Physical Palladium Shares PALL are sharply higher today, up $1.45 to $67.07.
