Metropolitan Bank Q1 Net Profit Up 40%

Metropolitan Bank & Trust Co MTPOY reported a 40% rise in its net profit in the first quarter. Its quarterly net profit climbed to PHP4.3 billion, versus a net profit of PHP3.1 billion in the year-ago quarter. Its net interest income rose 7% to PHP7.8 billion, while non-interest income jumped 95% to PHP8.7 billion.
