On March 4, 5 and 6, Boak & Sons participated in the 71st HBA Home & Garden Show at the Canfield Fairgrounds.

The Home Builders and Remodelers Association (HBA) of the Valley has been serving Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties in Ohio since 1945. Members of the HBA include builders, developers, trade contractors, material suppliers and many more. One of those members include Boak & Sons, Inc., a residential and commercial exterior contracting company based in Youngstown, Ohio. On March 4, 5 and 6, Boak & Sons participated in the 71st HBA Home & Garden Show at the Canfield Fairgrounds.

The HBA Home & Garden Show was sponsored by Banner Supply Co. and WW Heating & Air Conditioning. Each year, the event boasts a large crowd of local contractors. This year, there were even more attendees due to the location change to the Canfield Fairgrounds. In addition to the new location, Boak & Sons, Inc. presented their new display of a model home complete with their own materials. The display shows several different options for roofing, siding, gutter, and even insulation options that customers can see and feel for themselves.

"The HBA Home & Garden show is always a fun event for us," said Chris White, vice president, operations of Boak & Sons, Inc. "Word of mouth is huge in our industry, and many contractors at events like this will recommend other contractors that are also attending to help support this community. Plus, our new display really helped showcase what we can do here at Boak & Sons and it's always great to see our customers."

There were nearly 100 vendors at this year's show according to Executive Officer, Karen Caruso, of the HBA. The focus of the event is to allow the public to meet contractors and vendors before they start work on their properties to present the opportunity to have a familiar face working on their homes.
