Germany's Metro AG MTTRY reported a net loss in the second quarter.
Metro posted a quarterly net loss of EUR20 million ($24.5 million loss), versus a year-ago net profit of EUR20 million.
Its sales rose 1.8% to EUR15.8 billion, while adjusted EBIT climbed to EUR314 million from EUR306 million.
Metro's sales at its Cash & Carry unit rose 2% y/y to EUR8 billion, while sales at Media-Saturn gained 4.5% y/y to EUR4.5 billion.
