EF Johnson Technologies EFJI announced that it has agreed to be acquired by an affiliate of Francisco Partners, a global technology-focused private equity fund, for $1.05 per share in cash. Shares of the Irving, Texas based company closed at $1.01, down 1.94% on Friday. EFJI has a 50-day average daily volume of 72,000.
The troubled US lender, South Financial Group TSFG, reported that all of its outstanding common shares will be acquired by TD Bank Financial Group TD in a $61 million deal. TSFG's common shareholders will get $0.28 per share in cash or 0.004 of TD common stock per TSFG common share. By 9:41 am, TSFG had plunged 53.78% to $0.309. The company has a 50-day average daily volume of 7.57 million.
Sirius XM SIRI upped its 2010 net subscriber additions forecast from 500,000 to 750,000. The New York headquartered radio company also raised its 2010 target for pro-forma adjusted income from operations from $550 million to $575 million and is expecting a full-year pro-forma revenue of about $2.75 billion and free cash flows of more than $100 million. SIRI was trading at $1.11, up 3.74% at 9:53 am. The company has a 50-day average daily volume of 145.73 million.
Hauppauge Digital HAUP posted a Q2 loss of $0.09 a share on revenue of $13.8 million late Friday. Shares of HAUP, the world's leading developer and manufacturer of TV tuner products for personal computers, jumped 281% last week when the company launched live TV support for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch. HAUP lost 19.08% to $3.18 by 10:01 am. The company has a 50-day average daily volume of 676,000.
