Samsonite Posts Surge In H1 Profit

posted a strong rise in its first-half profit. Samsonite's net profit for the period surged to US$82.3 million, from US$16.4 million, in the year-ago period. Its revenue climbed 14% to US$846.7 million, versus US$743.8 million. Samsonite's net sales in the US jumped 28%, while sales in Europe dropped 2%.
