New York & Company (NWY) Repeats 8 Cent Per Share Loss

Retailer New York & Company Inc NWY announced on Thursday morning that it met consensus Wall Street earnings estimates. New York & Company Inc reported a 1st quarter loss of $4.86 million, or 8 cents per share, compared to a loss of $4.89 million, or 8 cents a share , a year earlier. Sales were up 1.8% to $237 million. According to a survey of analysts by Thomson Reuters, the average Wall Street estimate called for a loss of 8 cents per share, on $234 million in revenue. Shares of New York & Company Inc closed Wednesday trading at $5.30 per share.
