Dress Barn (DBRN) Profit Doubles, Sales Up 77%

The Dress Barn Inc DBRN released financial results on Wednesday after the market closed that beat Wall Street estimates. The Dress Barn Inc reported that its fiscal 3rd quarter earnings more than doubled to $48 million, or 59 cents per share, up from $23.1 million, or 37 cents per share, a year earlier. Revenue surged 77% to $665.5 million due to the inclusion of Justice brands sales, which accounted for $245.1 million in sales. The Dress Barn Inc acquired Tween Brands Inc last year and with it the Justice brand. Same-store sales climbed 14%. According to a poll of analysts by Thomson Reuters, the average Wall Street estimate called for earnings of 59 cents per share, on revenue of $645.8 million.
