Jos. A. Bank Clothiers Inc reported that its 1st quarter net income jumped 37% to $15.8 million, or 85 cents per share, up from $11.5 million, or 62 cents per share, a year earlier.
The men's clothing company's sales climbed 10% to $178.1 million, up from $161.9 million a year earlier.
Comparable store sales were up 10.4%.
According to a survey of analysts by Thomson Reuters, the average Wall Street estimate called for earnings of 71 cents per share.
