Diodes Incorporated DIOD announced Wednesday that Diodes has entered into an Agreement and Plan of Merger to acquire BCD for $151 million or $8.00 per share in cash.

Hanwha SolarOne
Shares of Hanwha SolarOne HSOL, the China-based vertically integrated manufacturer of silicon ingots, wafers and photovoltaic cells, rose 7% Thursday on 4 times average volume.
Hanwha SolarOne announced Wednesday it had reached an agreement with the Bank of Beijing for access to up to RMB 3.0 Billion (approximately US$475 million) of credit over the next twelve-month period. Drawdown of specific amount is subject to approval procedures of the Bank of Beijing, including review of specific project information, as applicable.
Hanwha SolarOne closed at $0.95 on Thursday.
Synthesis Energy Systems
Shares of Synthesis Energy Systems SYMX, the Houston, provider of technology, equipment and engineering services for the conversion of low rank, low cost coal and biomass feedstocks into energy and chemical products, rose 12.75% Thursday on 3 times average volume.
Effective January 1, 2013, Synthesis Energy Systems entered into a consulting services agreement with Crystal Vision Energy Limited, pursuant to which CVE will provide strategic, executive leadership and management services for the Company and its China business platform. The Agreement replaces a prior services agreement that the Company had in place with CVE dated effective April 1, 2012. The Agreement includes providing representatives for a steering committee to advise on the Company's China business and providing a managing director to advise and consult as to the management of such business. The Agreement has a term of two years, ending on December 31, 2014, but is terminable by (i) either party on 30 days notice at any time after November 30, 2013 and (ii) the Company at any time without further obligation with cause (as defined in the Agreement).
Synthesis Energy Systems closed at $1.15 on Thursday.
