Analyst Buys Bristol-Myers, Shorts Apple (AAPL, CMG, TOL, BMY, CAG)

In an interview with CNBC, Ronald Carson, of Carson Wealth Management Group, shared his strategies for playing the market. He said, “In the longer-term, the only way to survive this environment is to have some short positions and have some hedges.” He also advised investors to shun consumer discretionary, housing, auto, airline and retail sectors. He has recently gone short on Apple AAPL, Chipotle Mexican Grill CMG and Toll Brothers TOL. He has also shorted Sketchers SKX. However, he also shared his long picks with CNBC. He said that he likes Bristol-Myers BMY and ConAgra Foods CAG.
