TiVo Loses A Ruling By The U.S. Patent And Trademark Office (TIVO, DISH, SATS)

Bloomberg Businessweek is reporting that TiVo TIVO has lost a ruling before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office of a patent that's the subject of an ongoing legal dispute between Dish Network DISH and EchoStar Corp. SATS. According to the report, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office issued a final rejection of two patent claims. The patent office review "is a parallel proceeding" to the legal case that is currently being reviewed by a U.S. appeals court. TIVO shares have lost 5.15% today to $7.73. DISH has gained 0.05% and SATS is up 1.38% to $20.55.
