FOX Business Network’s (FBN) Charlie Gasparino is reporting that sources say former Wachovia CEO Bob Steele is being considered for a deputy mayor of economic development position under the New York City Bloomberg administration. Excerpts of Gasparino's story can be found below courtesy of Fox Business Network.
From Charlie Gasparino: “Sources tell FBN that he (former Wachovia CEO Bob Steele) is being considered for deputy mayor of economic development of NYC under the Bloomberg administration. We point out this is what sources close to the Bloomberg administration told us. Steele is still underground, not returning my phone calls.”
“I spoke to a woman Julia T. Bernard over at Wells Fargo who won’t even give me his office number so I can ask him. They are being very quiet about this. The Bloomberg administration has no comment which makes me thinks this is also true.”
