• Jefferies Group JEF posted fiscal second quarter earnings of 42 cents per share, 10 cents above Zacks projections, on revenues of $740.64 million

• General Motors GM announced plans to market Opel under its Buick banner in this country

• Steelcase SCS posted a wider-than-expected, fiscal first quarter GAAP loss of 8 cents versus Zacks expectations of 6 cent loss, on revenues of $541.8 million, which was ahead of Zacks projections of $524 million. The company said it sees fiscal second earnings at 1-5 cents per share on revenues of $560-$585 million
