Stocks Hitting 52-Week Highs (ACAP, STST, STAA, ROVI)

American Physicians Capital Inc ACAP shares surged 28.02% to create a new 52-week high of $40.66. The Doctors Company has signed a deal to acquire ACAP for a total price of about $386 million, or $41.50 per share, in cash. Argon ST Inc STST shares gained 0.14% to create a new 52-week high of $34.42. The Boeing Company BA has initiated a cash tender offer to buy all the outstanding shares of STST for $34.50 per share. STAAR Surgical Company STAA shares reached $6.10 to create a new 52-week high, before slipping slightly to $6.09, representing a 2.70% gain. STAA’s sales are likely to grow 11.50% in the year ending December 2011. Rovi Corporation ROVI shares moved up 1.60% to create a new 52-week high of $41.97. ROVI’s PEG ratio is 1.07.
