Enabling further progression in digitized health care, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) of the U.S. published the final rule for Stage 1 of achieving “meaningful use” of EHRs.
This rule, which is less stringent than the Notice of Proposed Rule-making (NPRM), removed uncertainties for providers. While analysts at Jefferies and Company Inc., feel it to be positive for HCIT vendors like Allscripts-Misys Healthcare Solutions MDRX, Quality Systems, Inc. QSII and many more, they discard any possibility of incremented buying.
