J.P. Morgan Reiterates Neutral Rating For Northern Trust (NTRS)

Northern Trust NTRS released its quarterly earnings prior to the opening bell on Wednesday. The bank reported EPS of $0.82 versus consensus estimates of $0.72. In the year ago period, NTRS reported earnings per share of $0.61. Revenues were down 7.3% year over year. J.P. Morgan (NTRS) equity analysts released a research report on the company today in which they maintained their Neutral rating and $53.00 price target. The analysts wrote that the risks to their rating and price target included "slower/better than expected economic recovery, ability to continue to generate strong new business wins, changes to its conservative interest rate risk management policies, ability to recover marks related to its mark-to-market securities lending fund, and material deterioration in credit quality."
