Ford's U.S. Sales Rise 3.1%; China Sales Fall (F)

U.S. automaker Ford F said today that its U.S. sales rose 3.1% to 170,411 in July from 165,279 in the year-ago period. Truck sales showed the largest sales increase, rising 27.5% versus a 5.6% slide for car sales. Utility vehicle sales declined 8.4%. Yesterday, the company announced that its China sales had fallen 6.3% in July. During today's trading session, Ford shares have fallen 2.20% to $12.87.
