The NYSE Arca Oil Index (XOI) and the NYSE Arca Natural Gas Index (XNG) dropped about 1.5%. Most of the US Airline stocks were in the red, after an unexpected rise in the initial jobless claims. The top losers in the list were United parent UAL Corp UAUA, US Airways LCC, JetBlue Airways JBLU, Delta Air Lines DAL and AMR Corp AMR. The NYSE Arca Airline Index (XAL) lost about 2%.
