Twitter TWTR, one of the world's largest social networks, is down.
The company is famous for its untimely crashes, which are often fueled and popularized by celebrity-related messages.
On March Sunday, March 2, comedian and talk show host Ellen DeGeneres temporarily crashed Twitter after tweeting a selfie of herself and several celebrities attending the 86th Academy Awards.

Now, without any comparable tweets, Twitter has gone down once more -- much to the dismay of NFL Network content producer Bear Heiser.
There are reports that the service is now beginning to come back, albeit it very slowly. Those without access are still likely to be greeted by cartoony error messages, such as this one:
