Sonic SONC climbed 7.93% to $22.58 after the company reported better-than-expected fiscal second-quarter earnings. Sonic posted its quarterly earnings of $0.07 per share on revenue of $109.7 million. Walgreen Co WAG rose 3.42% to $66.51 after the company reported a drop in its second-quarter profit and announced its plans to close 76 stores.
