FTI Consulting Inc. (FCN), the global business advisory firm, recently announced that it formed a consulting group for businesses operating or investing in the power industry. Simultaneously, the company hired industry veterans, Jim Drzemiecki and Tanya Bodell, to its Economic Consulting practice in order to form the Electricity Consulting Group.
The newly formed group will extend strategic and tactical advisory services to established as well as emerging businesses, either operating or investing in the electric power sector. According to management, there are hundreds of billions of dollars waiting to be invested in clean energy technology and U.S. electricity industry infrastructure in the next ten years. FTI is set to capitalize on this prospect, with its advice for new and existing investors on investment opportunities, target identification, transaction support and regulatory strategy.
James H. Drzemiecki, who was previously with FTI’s competitor CRA International Inc. (CRAI), has joined the company as a senior managing director to head the Electricity Consulting Group. Drzemiecki has over thirty years of valuable experience in advising industry leaders in the electric power sector which deals with variety of issues associated with enhancing shareholder value. Drzemiecki previously spent six years at Trans-Elect, the first independent transmission company to successfully implement a regulated transmission project in the United States.
Ms. Tanya Bodell, who also served CRA, has joined the Electricity Consulting Group as a managing director. Ms. Bodell has over 15 years of experience in business advice and support to electric power sector clients.
Hence, we expect the able guidance of Drzemiecki and Bodell in dealing with electric power sector will provide strong support to FTI’s new initiatives in Electricity Consulting Group.
