Weekly Highlights: Apple's Groundbreaking Ear Buds, Xbox One Strategies And More

Apple AAPL is often expected to produce the next big evolution in computers, tablets and smartphones. Some analysts believe that Apple will one day revolutionize TV. Others think the company could change video games if it released a game console. There are also a number of individuals (and at least one analyst) that believe Apple could change everything -- and increase its stock price -- by releasing a smart watch. A new rumor suggests that Apple's strategy may be something else entirely. In fact, the company's next innovation may be one of the company's most significant innovations yet: ear buds that monitor select elements of the wearer's health. Elsewhere in the world, Argus Research analyst James Kelleher theorized that Microsoft MSFT will get more aggressive in pushing Xbox One. Marlene Morris Towns, a Professor of Marketing at Georgetown University's McDonough School of Business, warned CEOs about the dangers of Twitter TWTR. And Amazon AMZN could be developing a smartphone that is ultimately unnecessary. Disclosure: At the time of this writing, Louis Bedigian had no position in the equities mentioned in this slideshow.
