Discussions Continue on ResCare Acquisition Proposal (RSCR)

ResCare, Inc. RSCR announced that discussions between a special committee of independent ResCare directors and Onex Corporation are continuing as the committee evaluates the acquisition proposal from Onex announced on August 16, 2010. The board of directors cautions ResCare's shareholders that no decisions have been made by the board with respect to a response to the proposal. There can be no assurance that any agreement will be executed or that this or any other transaction will be approved or consummated. Pending completion of the evaluation of the proposal by the special committee and the board of directors, neither ResCare nor the special committee will have any further comment with respect to the proposal.
