Vodafone Sells Stake In China Mobile

Vodafone Group VOD is looking for buyers for its 3.2% stake in China Mobile CHL, China's largest mobile phone carrier. The Vodafone slice of China Mobile is reportedly worth $6.7 billion. Vodafone bought a stake in China Mobile in 2000 and added to it in 2002. The British company is looking to trim minority stakes and other non essential assets to focus on focus on Europe, India and Africa, according to the Guardian. Vodafone also owns 45% of Verizon's VZ wireless unit.
