Arrow ECS Named Distributor for Xsigo Systems in North America

Arrow Enterprise Computing Solutions, a business segment of Arrow Electronics Inc. ARW, has signed a distribution agreement with Xsigo Systems. As the first value-added distributor for Xsigo in North America, Arrow ECS will Xsigo's full suite of I/O virtualization products to value-added resellers in the United States and Canada. The Xsigo VP780 and VP560 I/O Directors consolidate the infrastructure and provide dynamic connectivity from any server to any Ethernet or Fibre channel network, a key requirement of cloud computing. With Xsigo, data center managers can reduce cabling requirements by 70 percent, cut power consumption by 30 percent, and complete routine management tasks in seconds rather than hours or days.
