HSBC Confirms Gulliver, Green as New CEO, Chairman (HBC)

HSBC Holdings HBC confirmed Friday that outgoing CEO Michael Geoghegan is going to be replaced by Stuart Gulliver. In addition, Douglas Flint, the finance director as HSBC, is confirmed to be the replacement for Chairman Stephen Green after Green accepted a post in the British government earlier this month. "The nomination committee came to the unanimous conclusion that Douglas Flint was the best person - internally or externally - for the position, meeting all the core criteria,” said HSBC in a statement. HSBC is trading at 52.77.
