Aker Solutions Posts Lower Q1 Profit

Norway's AKER SOLUTIONS HLDG AKRTF reported a 24 percent drop in its net profit for the first quarter. Aker Solutions posted a quarterly net profit of 213 million Norwegian kroner ($27.84 million), versus an estimated NOK281 million, in the year-ago quarter. Its revenue climbed 14 percent to NOK8.5 billion. The company's earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization slipped 11 percent year-over-year to NOK591 million, versus analysts' estimates of of 664 million Norwegian crowns.
