The intellectual property licensing company closed up about 15 percent earlier on news it had acquired a patent portfolio from Infineon Technologies AG IFNNY for $33 million. Ambarella Inc. AMBA gained about 1.2 percent to $93.33 in late trading after the company posted first-quarter results. HollyFrontier Corp. HFC rose nearly 1 percent after the bell Tuesday. The Dallas-based petroleum refiner didn't issue any news. Ocean Rig UDW Inc. ORIG sank nearly 8 percent to $7.45 in the late session after the company announced a stock offering. Violin Memory Inc. VMEM scrapped down more than 11 percent to $2.80. The provider of flash-based storage systems posted disappointing quarterly results. MediWound Ltd. MDWD fell more than 5 percent to $5.12 in extended trading. The Israel-based biopharmaceutical company didn't issue news Tuesday. NCI Building Systems Inc. NCS fell 3.8 percent to $14.55 after the bell Tuesday. The building components manufacturer posted fiscal second-quarter results and an outlook Cencosud SA CNCO dipped 3.8 percent to $7.50 in the extended session.
