Afternoon Market Update (LDK, JBLU, UAL, DAL, LCC, PCLN)

Shares of LDK Solar Co LDK surged about 7.2% after the company reported three-fold y/y rise in its Q3 earnings. The company projects its Q4 revenue between $710 million and $750 million. However, analysts estimated revenue of $579.4 million for the same period. US Airline stocks moved down today. Shares of JetBlue Airways JBLU fell about 3.5% after Sidoti downgraded the stock from “buy” to “neutral.” Shares of United Continental UAL, Delta Air Lines DAL and US Airways LCC lost more than 1%. The NYSE Arca Airline Index (XAL) dropped about 1.6%. Shares of Priceline.com PCLN jumped about 8.3% after the company reported better-than-expected FQ3 results.
