Metals Crashed (FCX, BHP, AA)

It appears today may have been a blown off top in the metals, as nothing can run up forever. After the metals, particularly silver, were up tremendously this morning, the metals and their related stocks are falling sharply. Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold Inc. FCX is down 30 cents to $104.98. It had been as high as $108.51 on the session. BHP Billiton Limited BHP is down 32 cents to $90.65, a loss of 0.35%. It was up more than $1 per share earlier in the session, and was as high as $92.62. Alcoa Inc. AA is down 7 cents this afternoon to $13.89, a loss of 0.5%. Shares were as high as $14.17 on the session. While one day does not make a trend, this are incredibly sharp reversals and it appears that perhaps the risk trade is off for now. Only time will tell.
