Market Roundup (AMR, LCC, AEG, OPTC, LONG)

US Airline stocks moved down along with the broader equity market. However, shares of American Airlines parent AMR Corp AMR gained about 1.5%. Shares of US Airways LCC fell about 0.5%.The NYSE Arca Airline Index (XAL) lost about 0.31%. Shares of Aegon NV AEG fell about 0.7% after the company reported its Q3 results. The company's profit came in at 657 million euros ($906.5 million), up from €145 million, in the year-ago quarter. The company's new life sales increased 7% y/y to €527 million euros. Shares of Optelecom-NKF Inc OPTC surged about 49% after TKH Group NV and OPTC entered into a merger agreement. Under the agreement, TKH Group will buy all the outstanding shares of Optelecom-NKF for $2.45 per share, representing a 59.1% premium over OPTC's closing price on November 10. Shares of eLong Inc LONG gained to hit its new 52-week high of $20.88 today. The company is all set to report its Q3 results today.
