Market Roundup (XOM, CVX, ALK, AMR, UAL, TIII)

US energy stocks fell with crude oil prices. Some of the top losers in the list include Exxon Mobil XOM and Chevron CVX. The NYSE Arca Oil Index (XOI) lost about 3%, while the NYSE Arca Natural Gas (XNG) fell about 2.3%. The Philadelphia Oil Service Index (OSX) moved down about 2%. Airline stocks dropped along with the broader market. The NYSE Arca Airline Index (XAL) fell about 1.8%. Some of the decliners in the list are Alaska Air ALK, American parent AMR Corp AMR and United Continental Holdings Inc UAL. Treasury prices moved higher, after the US government reported a 0.4% rise in the producer prices in October. However, economists were expecting the producer prices to rise 0.7%. Yields on the 10-year Treasury note lost about 1.4%, while the two-year note declined about 4.45%. Shares of Tii Network Technologies Inc TIII advanced about 9% after the company reported strong year-over-year surge in its Q3 results. TIII posted 150% y/y rise in its Q3 net sales.
