With the Super Bowl 50 just two weeks away, Amazon.com, Inc. AMZN has just released its "sneak peek" of its first ever Super Bowl commercial on YouTube Wednesday.
Amazon.com is scheduled to post its Q415 quarterly earnings results on Thursday. The company could beat 4Q expectations, with revenues of $35.56 billion, gross profits of $12.35 billion and non-GAAP EPS of $3.46.
The e-commerce giant is betting big on their advertising campaigns by leveraging the largest sport events taking place. Amazon.com's latest teaser is 30-seconds long and features actor Alec Baldwin and former football player Dan Marino using Amazon Echo powered by Alexa to help plan a Super Bowl party.
In a report by Mashable, Amazon.com's first ever Super Bowl ad was created by advertising agency Leo Burnett. Amazon is also planning to release two additional teasers prior to the big game on February 7.
The Amazon Echo home connection appliance retails for $179.99 USD. The Alexa interface acts as a meeting participant that can virtually retrieve data, allowing all parties to listen to questions and answers.
The stock opened at 601.25 on Wednesday's trading session. Amazon.com presently has a 12-month low of $299.33 and a 12-month high of $696.44.
