Oppenheimer has updated its Generic Market Model to reflect October Rx data released by Wolters Kluwer.
“Total generic Rx were up 6.0% y/y at 232.2M scripts,” Oppenheimer writes. “Rx growth in the broader prescription market was down 0.1% y/y. As expected, H1N1-induced ramp-up from last year made for a tough y/y comparison.”
For the month ending November 17, 2010, Oppenheimer said that stock prices for distributors and PBMs within our universe increased an average of 5.0%, vs. the S&P 500, which was up 0.2%.
PharMerica Corporation PMC, which currently trades at $11.42, was the best performing stock for the month, up 14.0%. AmerisourceBergen Corp. ABC, which trades at $31.21, was the worst performing stock, down 4.7%.
