The Hartford Q3 Life Insurance Sales Increased 14%

Sales of life insurance at The Hartford HIG grew 14 percent in the third-quarter versus the same quarter in 2009. The Hartford Financial Services Group, Inc. reported its best quarterly profit since 2007 and its fourth consecutive quarterly profit. Net income in the third quarter of 2010 was $666 million, versus a net loss of $220 million a year ago. The company also boosted its profit estimate for the year.
