Will Amazon Have Netflix-Like Subscription Video?

Amazon AMZN is working on a "Netflix-like subscription service" for movies and TV shows, according to a Wall Street Journal report issued today. The package will stream and could be bundled with Amazon's $79/year service. Although talk about Amazon's video package is preliminary and no final plans have been made, Wall Street Journal cautiously notes that Apple also tried to make a similar video package that was rejected. At the time of the report an Amazon spokesman had not responded to a Wall Street Journal request for comment.
