Australian Stocks Rise Again

The All Ordinaries Index of Australian stocks spent most of the Tuesday trading session climbing higher. Mining companies like BHP Billiton BBL were among the stocks that pushed the index up. The All Ordinaries Index opened at 4,782.30, just above Monday's close at 4,779.40. The All Ordinaries Index of Australian stocks traded between 4,781.60 and 4,825.50 and ended the day up 36.60 points, or 0.77%, at 4,816.00. Investors who would like to invest in a broad range of Australian equities might want to consider the iShares MSCI Australia Index EWA, which seeks to provide investment results that correspond generally to the price and yield performance of publicly traded securities in the Australian market, as measured by the MSCI Australia index.
