Cardinal Health Announces Renewal of Distribution Agreement With Walgreens

Cardinal Health CAH today announced the early renewal of its distribution agreement with Walgreens WAG to supply pharmaceuticals to its national network of retail pharmacies. The new agreement extends into 2013. "Walgreens is a valued partner for Cardinal Health, and we are proud to continue our long-standing relationship," said George Barrett, chairman and chief executive officer of Cardinal Health. "The new agreement builds on the fundamentals of our existing relationship, and the terms were factored into the fiscal 2011 guidance we provided in October." Additional terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
