Mastercard MA was supposedly the victim of an attack by WikiLeaks supporters this morning after the company blocked donations to the organization.
MasterCard said that it has made progress in getting service back to its website, which was the subject of the attack. It was clear to make sure that account holders had not been compromised in any way.
"Our core processing capabilities have not been compromised and cardholder account data has not been placed at risk," said Mastercard.
At last check, shares of Mastercard were near the high of the day, gaining $3.13 to $249.91, a gain of 1.3%.
