Markets Go At Highs On The Day

The broader markets closed at their highs of the session. The Dow closed at 11,410 up 40.26 points. This was led by a rise in General Electric GE, which raised its quarterly dividend by 17%. The NASDAQ finished the day up 20.87 points to 2,637. Stocks like Apple AAPL and Google GOOG helped lead the way. The S&P 500 gained 7.4 points to close at 1,240. The S&P 500 last night added the likes of Netflix NFLX, F5 Networks FFIV and Newfield Exploration NFX as S&P rebalanced the index.
