Real estate investment trusts, which were higher earlier in the session are getting hit hard after the FOMC kept everything the same. Shares of Simon Property Group SPG, General Growth Properties GGP and the real estate ETF iShares Dow Jones US Real Estate ETF IYR are getting smacked very hard. These names have been on a straight line down since about 12 p.m.
