Sunoco Agrees to Share More Refinery Safety Data

Sunoco Inc. SUN has agreed to disclose important new information on its safety policies and track record at refineries and other production facilities, a move that the United Steelworkers commends. This action came in response to a shareholder proposal filed by the AFL-CIO Reserve Fund requesting that this information be disclosed to shareholders. The USW has long championed greater health and safety protections for workers and the environment.
