Airline Stocks Being Hit On East Coast Winter Wonderland (DAL, CAL, JBLU)

Airline stocks are holding in there today, as a majority of the East Coast of the U.S. is being hit hard with a blizzard, more than two and a half feet in some cities. Companies like Delta DAL, United Continental Holdings UAL and JetBlue Airways Corporation JBLU are flat to slightly up, despite a whiteout in Europe and the east coast. Several states, including Massachusetts, Maine, Maryland, New Jersey, North Carolina and Virginia declared emergencies, and the storm was so bad, that the mayor of Philadelphia declared a state of emergency yesterday, and the Philadelphia Eagles-Minnesota Vikings game was postponed until Tuesday. As of now, JFK is scheduled to open at 6 p.m., according to the FAA's website. Laguardia and Newark International are still unknown at this point. Earlier in the day, all three were supposed to open at 4 p.m., but that is unlikely now.
