Should Bank Bonuses Be Disclosed? (GS, MS, JPM, C, BAC)

Many want the bonuses of bankers at Citigroup C, Goldman Sachs GS, Morgan Stanley MS, J.P. Morgan JPM and Bank of America BAC disclosed, but is it legal? The hope here is that the stock market would give bankers more incentive to do more for their clients, and then would be rewarded through stock based compensation as opposed to cash-based compensation, but personally I don't think that this is necessary, or even legal. It's not up to a consulting firm to set bonus decisions, it's up to the banks. If the shareholder doesn't like it, he/she doesn't have to invest in that bank. It's that simple. If you don't like the policies, vote with your wallet.
