Lowe's Announces Contract Award (LOW)

Lowe's LOW announced it has been awarded a General Services Administration (GSA) Schedule contract, effective Jan. 1, 2011. Federal government buyers and other eligible agencies will be able to receive contract pricing on point-of-sale purchases. The Lowe's contract number is GS-21F-0039X. “Through our new GSA contract, Lowe's can better meet the needs of our federal agency customers,” said Mike Horn, Lowe's vice president of commercial sales. “Lowe's is now able to provide more competitive prices to government customers, while also providing an easy and fast way for those customers to get the products they need.” In all Lowe's stores, the Commercial Sales Desk will serve as the primary point of contact for all GSA customers, which will provide a team of specially trained associates to help those customers with their needs. GSA schedules can be used by all federal agencies, and several other qualified entities, to purchase in-stock and special order products. The GSA schedule discount is good in all U.S. stores for the purchase of all Trade Agreements Act (TAA) compliant in-stock or special order merchandise. It is not valid on sales via Lowes.com, purchase of services or gift cards.
