Bidders are teaming up for Beckman Coulter, Inc. BEC, which is in the process of selling itself.
Private equity firms Blackstone BX and Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co KKR are teaming up, while Apollo and Carlyle are still in the auction, and could potentially team up for the medical devices maker.
Beckman Coulter hired Goldman Sachs to help it with the auction and to discuss strategic alternatives.
Shares of Beckman Coulter are up 23 cents in pre-market trading to $75.30.
