Schnitzer Reports Strong First Quarter Fiscal 2011 EPS of $0.64

Schnitzer Steel Industries, Inc. SCHN today reported diluted earnings per share from continuing operations of $0.64 for its fiscal 2011 first quarter ended November 30, 2010. This compares with diluted earnings per share from continuing operations of $0.23 during the first quarter of fiscal 2010. For the first quarter of fiscal year 2011, Schnitzer reported record first quarter revenues of $675 million, compared to $394 million in the first quarter of fiscal year 2010.
