International Business Machines Corp IBM reported its Q4 net income at $4.18 per share, up from $3.59 per share, in the year-earlier period. The company's revenue increased 7% y/y to $29 billion. However, analysts had expected earnings at $4.08 per share on revenue of $28.26 billion. IBM shares advanced 2.88% to $154.99 in after-hours trading. Analysts are expecting EBay Inc EBAY to have earned $0.47 per share in fourth-quarter. EBAY shares moved up 0.93% to close at $29.45 yesterday. Linear Technology Corp LLTC reported its Q2 net income at $0.62 per share, compared with $0.33 per share, in the year-ago period. LLTC's revenue advanced 50% y/y to $383.6 million. However, analysts were expecting earnings at $0.58 per share on revenue of $378.85 million. LLTC projects its Q3 revenue to drop by 6% to 10% from the second quarter.
