IBM Investing $150 Million In Entrepreneur Programs (IBM)

International Business Machines IBM announced plans to invest $150 million during 2011 to fund programs that promote entrepreneurs and new business opportunities in the United States. General Manager of IBM Developer and Academic Relations James Corgel said, "The investment will help us greatly expand the work we're doing to build business skills and provide market opportunities for the most innovative new companies in the country. These start-ups are tackling some of the country's most pressing challenges and opportunities." International Business Machines started its its Global Entrepreneur initiative last year and since then has aided more than 500 new business start-ups in key areas such as green energy, health care and transportation. International Business Machines (IBM) closed the previous trading day at $159.21 per share. Analysts covering the company's stock give it a consensus price target of $165.53 per share.
